Colorful Seattle Park and Waterfront Wedding

Venues: Bhy Kracke Park and Ray’s Boathouse

As a Seattle Florist I thought I knew all the best locale spots to get married, but Bhy Krake Park has to be one of the city’s best kept secrets. This sweet little park is tucked away on the east side of Queen Anne in a residential area and I believe offers some of the best views of the Seattle skyline (with none of the crowds) making it a perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony. For this early September wedding, guests arrived at the lower area of the park mid morning, flowers were hung along the winding path to guide them up to the ceremony at the top where coffee and music welcomed them.

As a floral designer color is my love language and I love love love when a bride has a colorful dress. Her bouquet featured peach lisianthus, dahlias, zinnias and roses from Seattle Growers Market. September is so good for local flowers.

Having a wedding ceremony in a public space can be tricky but Audra from Lovely Events made it a breeze.

Later in the day guest regrouped at Ray’s Boathouse for dinner. Tables were designated with Calvin and Hobbes books which (lucky for me) tied in nicely with the sunset color palette.

Enjoy these pictures by Ashley Vos, I sure did.
