Halloween Masquerade Wedding

Wedding Venue: Canvas Event Space | Seattle, Washington

This Halloween wedding had the prefect mix of spooky and sophisticated. As a floral designer my favorite weddings are the ones that are a collaboration with creative couples and frankly just a touch weird.

A masquerade wedding was perfect for this bride and groom whose favorite holiday is Halloween. The bride walked down the candle lite aisle to dramatic classical music. Her bouquet was traditional and pretty, I incorporated Japanese indigo flowers as a nod to her job as a designer. I collected moss covered branches and created an eerie chuppah for the ceremony. The long tables were lined with moss, ferns and other things you might find on a forest floor- I wanted to create the feeling that something just might crawl out of the tablescape. Lots of candles (pillar and floating) and tall branch arrangements helped to add warmth to Canvas Event Space’s blank industrial slate.

Working with The Eventist is always a pleasure. A good planner makes all the difference, and these ladies are kind, organized and resourceful.

Blue Ribbon Catering was absolutely brilliant creating a traditional Halloween junk food inspired menu that grown ups could enjoy.

Themed weddings can be tricky but this one was a pure treat.
